JUST SAY NO TO
for now lolTODAY was our 2nd Dr. appt. I met with Dr. Yiakis. It went really well, She was SOOO nice! All my tests were good, b's heartbeat was 160 which the Dr said was great. The only thing I was disturbed by was that they told me I was O negative. I had no idea and I talked to my mom and she said she thought I was O positive, so she is checking into it for me. If I am, I am but I would like to know what my moms records say since people can make mistakes. I was freaked about it at first because the Dr said I have to have shots to make sure my body doesn't build antibodies against b! I don't want b to be hurt and I HATE shots! Of course after talking with my nest girls they put my issues to rest, and Stef pointed out my issues with needles shouldn't be a concern since I DO have to give birth to b.. I was like hmmm that's true, having a shot is probably the least of pain I will have to deal with LOL. What would I do without you girls?!
Our next appt is in 4 weeks on 4/3, I'm going to have Jason bring the camera so we can video the heartbeat next time. I figured you all would like to hear it too!
I'm really excited to be able to re-play it!
I contacted the people who run the Bradley method birth clases. I'm really excited and hope they have room for me. I have another group I can contact but I wanted to wait until I heard from these people first. I'm really looking forward to going. My mom had ALL 7 of us without medication, using mostly the bradley method and she really recommended it. Wish me luck!! hahaha I dont start the classes until about 20 weeks or so. There are 12 classes once a week so it will be interesting to see what they teach.
We have Jasons party tomorrow and I'm super excited. I want him to have a really good time. It's such a special birthday, and YAY I'm feeling better so thats good that I can actually hang out!

We are closing up shop so that means I'm outta here LOL I will be updating you all on MONDAY when my 12 wks turns to 13!!! love you and thanks for reading :)

fridays cyanide and happiness :)

hahaha....okay, so you're going to go medication-free with this birth?! Thank you really, reeeeally can't be too worried about those shots :) You're a trooper. That b already loves you for it, just know that.
ReplyDeleteI am SUCH a proponent of all things Bradley method, so I'm so glad you're doing that. My good friend (related by marriage) is a Bradley instructor in San Mateo. She's had two Bradley births herself, and I am so inspired. I will definitely be **trying** to do the same. (a weekly trip to san mateo doesn't sound fun, but i might have to to have my friend...haha...unless your person is good. i'll be watching your updates). The one thing a lot of people don't realize is that it's 12 weeks long (a lot of them are like 1 or 2 classes), so that's great. You're already set there. Yay! Definitely let us know how it goes!!
Yeah thats what made my fear of shots even funnier. Now that it was pointed out though, seems kinda silly so i'm over it LOL.
ReplyDeleteHow awesome that you know someone who is an instructor! I will let you know how mine goes for sure :) My mom let me in on the 12 weeks classes info. Seems LONG but I will be prepared at least. I'm pretty excited to start the classes, its so crazy how real this is. All for b!
