Pictures, 2 yrs and 34 weeks!

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone’s week and weekend went well. We took our maternity pictures last Friday and I can’t wait to view them all! She said they should be ready in a week. It was so much fun, although getting up and down wasn’t that easy for me lol. She was super super nice and found the cutest place ever in Carmichael. It’s a little garden area that’s part of the Carmichael park but in a different area. SOOOOO pretty and secluded, I swear it looks like we are in a forest.
She has a preview of our pictures on her blog so check it out! Sandyrunnerblog.com

Saturday Jason took me to Walnut Creek to see “My fair Lady” at the Leshers center for the arts to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. They did such a great job. Jason really enjoyed it as well which is nice and makes it that much more enjoyable for me. He can actually stay awake in a play which is great! I was a little uncomfortable sitting for 3 hours but it was worth it. We went to the 2pm show that way we could enjoy our dinner without feeling rushed. This is b’s second musical, we saw Wicked in SF in February when she was just a weeeeee lil thing lol. My parents used to take us to musicals when we were young and it’s really stuck with me. I absolutely love them and I can’t wait to take her as well.

Bing Crosby’s restaurant was SO cute.

They had someone on the piano playing in bar which was nice. The food was really good, I had scampi pasta and of course Jason had the filet. We took our time and had dessert, I had the Grand Marnier Crème Brule and Jason had the chocolate molten cake.
Photobucket
Mine looks a little funny, it looked like little meatballs on top but really they were raspberries lol Super delicious.
I was too chicken to ask someone to take our picture so these were all I took.

We have been trying to locate our cake maker because we were going to have her remake our top layer for us since we didn’t keep ours after the wedding. Long story short, it was made with a liqueur and it started to break down a day after the wedding so we had to throw it out aaand we forgot to try to get it remade last year and wanted to this year. We contacted our wedding coordinator and are still waiting to hear back. Our actual Anniversary is tomorrow so even though it’s unlikely, maybe we can still get it done. Wishful thinking I know :)
After dinner we came home and relaxed in the spa for a couple hours which was perfect, even though Jason wouldn’t let it go over 98 degrees. Protecting b of course, she is our number one priority now.
After a couple hours we came back inside and watched our wedding video. I really have to say how much I enjoy having a wedding video. They did such an amazing job on it and since our photographer ended up being a dud and missed a lot, having this video 100% makes it okay. All the memories of the day are there and being able to actually see it as it happened, brought tears to my eyes. We almost didn’t get a wedding video because Jason didn’t think we would ever watch it but even now he admits that it was the best choice we made for the wedding. It’s amazing how much you forget over time. We are going to make it a tradition to watch it every anniversary.

This was the day I married my soul mate.

It’s crazy to think it was 5 years ago we met, two years ago that we got married and now we are starting our family. I truly feel lucky to have such a caring wonderful person to share my life with and be the father of my children. He is going to be an amazing dad.

Okay enough about us, lets get to the star of the show, the one everyone wants to know about.. b!

She is 34 weeks! Can you believe only 6 or so weeks left and she will finally be here!!

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies

We are meeting with her pediatrician today at 2:30, which was also once Jason’s pediatrician!! He seems really nice and isn’t a drug pusher which I like.
Tomorrow is going to be a crazy busy day, We are going to the auction to get me a car YAY.. with me staying home now it doesn’t make sense for me not to have one anymore. When I worked in the office it was fine because Jason and I were always together but now I’m stranded at home it would nice to be able to leave when I need, which requires a car of course lol. Not sure what I’m going to get, its going to be a very long day being that I have to get up at 6 so we can be there by 7 to look around. Then we have Comcast coming to install our internet at the house around 2 or so but you know how that goes. We also are going to dinner somewhere here in Sac for our anniversary, or maybe I will just make dinner here.. hmm haven’t decided yet.. I guess it depends on how tired we are from the day.
Thursday we have Brinks coming to install the alarm, finally. I hate being here alone with no alarm, especially after the baby comes. Friday we have a Dr. Appointment to check on how b is doing. Depending on how busy I am after I might blog on how it all went. Saturday is my baby shower!! I’m really excited to hang out with everyone. We have been so busy lately I feel like it has been forever since I’ve seen or really spoken to anyone. If you haven’t heard from me in a while I promise I still love you and hopefully things will slow down for us a little to do things with friends. You understand right! :)

Well I need to get some stuff done around the house before the appointment so I’m going to go.
I will be back soon and have a great week!

33 weeks

Hello Everyone!

Little b's arrival day is coming closer and closer.. I have been experiencing slight braxton hicks, which are little practice contractions for those that do not know what they are lol

I've been doing well, sleeping isn't the easiest of things when you have to pee 3 times a night but I guess its good practice for when b comes and wakes up every couple of hours.

Here is b's update! (courtesy of babycenter.com)

This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. She's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and her skeleton is hardening. The bones in her skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as her brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

Pineapple b! (no wonder I'm so uncomfortable, she is quite pokey this week LOL)

We hung up some of the pictures and decorations in b's room last night yaaaay! Still not done though because I have to find a frame for one of the pictures I painted. We bought the mattress this weekend but haven't found a chair I quite like yet. Hopefully we can get that soon. Although She won't be sleeping in her room right away, its still so much fun to have it all together ready for her.

We are taking our Maternity pictures this Friday with Sandy Runner. I'm really excited! Her pictures are so cute and she is really reasonable priced. This is a link to her blog www.sandyrunnerblog.com If you want to check her out. Look for the session "Nicole" I looove what she did there and those are the type of shots we are going to try for.

August 4th is Our 2 year anniversary. I can't believe its already been 2 years since Jason and I said "I Do". I feel so lucky to have such an amazing man as my husband. Since my options on what we can do are so limited he thought I would enjoy a play and dinner. He knows me so well :) The 4th is a weekday so we are going to celebrate this weekend since my baby shower is the following weekend. We are going to see "My Fair Lady" one of my favorite musicals and have dinner at Bing Crosby's restaurant.
I'm sooo excited, it should be a really fun time. The restaurant is soooo cute, here is a link http://www.bingcrosbysrestaurant.com/
We aren't going to stay the night since its more comfortable for me to sleep at home but it will definitely be worth the drive. I'm not sure exactly where it is but it's somewhere near San Francisco.

There is sooo much going on it seems. I wont be blogging on Friday since we are having our pictures taken but I will be back on Monday!!

Have a great week :)

last friday at the office!

Well I have been home all week, but my office still hadn't been switched over yet. I'm here at the office today packing everything up and Jason will be moving my desk this weekend as well. I'm pretty excited about it even though I'm pretty much phased out and wont be doing much work at all.

Little b is still doing well and active as ever. We had our Dr. Appointment on Wednesday and all is well. Heartbeat is good, I'm measuring right at 32 cm and I'm feeling good. The pressure of her is increasing on my pelvis which is a little bothersome but nothing to bad. She is growing and grooowiing. No matter how many times I say it, its just weird that our lives will never be the same in a couple of weeks. We will have this beautiful little child to love and care for. Someone who is part ME and part JASON.. WOW, its just so funny and it really doesn't get old.. It just baffles me.

I've been reading "The womanly art of breastfeeding" recommended by my mom and I'm almost done with it. It's amazing the things it talks about and how much I have learned from it. My mom will be staying with us for a week after the baby comes to help me with any questions or anything I need which is a huge relief for me. I like knowing I have the baby expert by my side lol.

I forgot to put up Clearlake pictures last post and since I'm not at home (where I uploaded all my pictures)I will have to do it another time.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

no really.. 32 weeks lol

So I realized I made a mistake and put 32 weeks last week and not 31 as it was supposed to be. I think being on vacation had me a little loopie.

I fixed last weeks to be 31 weeks with her update and here is 32 as it should be.

Our little princess' update!

By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds (pick up a large jicama) and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus. You're gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that goes right to your baby. In fact, she'll gain a third to half of her birth weight during the next 7 weeks as she fattens up for survival outside the womb. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth.

Well I am offically not going into work anymore yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. We are going to start bringing over all my stuff from the office and set it up at home. That way if Jason needs me to do something for him, I can. I spent most of today cleaning up the house and putting our stuff away from the trip.

Tomorrow I'm going to be previewing houses for a client. Which means I have to drive aaahhhhhhhh. I have about 15 houses I'm going to check out to see if they are good enough to bring her to. She has very limited time and nothing is worse then taking someone to a house thats in horrible condition. It should be fun for me though, I can take my time at least since it's just me.

Wednesday we have a baby appointment yaaaaay. She has been moving soooooo much lately. She is one active little girl. I can't believe how close we are. Just a couple more weeks and we get to hold her in our arms <3

Well thats it for now. Hope everyone has a great week!!

Actually its 31 weeks :)

Helloooo everyone, this will be super short because I have to use a coffee shop wifi out here in boonieville and I want to get back to the house to relax!!

Things are going great, had to run into town to do a couple things for work but we are about finished up and heading back to relax. Hope everyone has a great week :)

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. She weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. She can turn her head from side to side, and her arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath her skin. She's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.

Ready to Vacation!

Really how much more spoiled can I get. Jason lets me work half days most the week and I act like I need a vacation lol.. I'm just so looking forward to relaxing all week and not having to think about work at all.

This week my friend Jannie had us stop by her work and she gave us a present for b and its SO cute.
Photobucket

I already put it in her room and I can't wait to put pictures in it!

Our last Bradley class was Monday and it was more on preparing for going to the hospital and unexpected things that can happen. At the end she all gave us a candle and told us to write an inspirational word, I couldn't help it and had to put OOHM, even though it started as a way for Danielle to tell me to take a chill pill when I would freak out, it actually really does help me be calm and focus. She then said the coach's had to use our words in a sentence hahahahha Jason was like oh geez! Everyone else had normal words "confident" "strong" and such which made it easy for their coach's. Jason was so cute, his sentence was "I'm very proud of you, oohm" HAHAHAHAHA I mean what else could he really do with a word like oohm. I would of picked an easier word if I knew she was going to do that but oh well.

I'm going to try and blog on Monday but it will probably be short but who knows, sometimes I go on a tangent and just can't shut up LOL

We are leaving on Sunday for the annual clearlake trip. We rented a house this time instead of staying at a resort like usual. I'm going to bring some of my painting stuff YAY. We will back the following Sunday.

Everyone have a great weekend and hopefully I will check in on Monday :) toodles!

30 weeks

Happy Monday everyone. I stayed at home on Friday and forgot to blog! No biggie though I'm here tooday :)

We will start with the star of the show. b's progess!
Photobucket

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20)

She's getting so big!

So this weekend I was thinking about it and realized..I have been pregnant this whole year! That's pretty crazy to think about because it seems like its gone by so fast. 2 months to go and really that's no time at all in the scheme of things. We are so excited that she will be with us soon.

Last Friday we registered at Target and Babies R Us. Wow was that a little overwhelming. We started off thinking "I have no clue" then we just figured eh whatever and just scanned away lol. Whatever isn't bought 2 weeks before my due date they give us a 10% coupon off of what wasn't purchased, so more discounts for us yaaay.

Our Bradley class last week went well. We practiced the relaxation methods and talked with the instructor about any concerns and plans for after the baby comes. We were supposed to bring our birth plan but OOPS, I forgot. I'm bringing it to to nights class and we will go over it. Our last class is tonight and I'm a little sad about it. I have really enjoyed the positive environment talking about child birth and the things to do to make it a positive experience. It's really helped me feel calm and relaxed about the whole progress feeling more informed and I really couldn't imagine going into it without this class. Even reading the books can't quite compare to talking the class and it was really worth the time and money. I feel so lucky to have Jason's support and my mom's experience to get me through the birth just as we have planned. They are going to be so important in the day I give birth. Having people there who love me and help me do what is necessary to stay focused and relaxed is such a huge relief. People always ask if I'm nervous, even if it's 2 months away I don't feel nervous at all, just anxious and excited to have our little princess here.

Our weekend was great. We went up with some friends to Donner lake and hung out on the beach all day, bbq'd and then watched the fireworks. It was such a kick back day, luckily we were able to stay at Matt's cousin's house so we didn't have to drive back home that night.

I kept forgetting my camera and only took a couple pictures but here they are :)

YAY AMERICA LOL

This is a picture of Jason "paddle boarding" I think that's what its called. Its like a surf board that you stand on and paddle on the lake. I was too far away to get a good picture :( Jason said he saw a HELLA big beaver carrying a log!

I have a doctor appointment Thursday so we get to hear b's heartbeat again yaaaay! After this appointment I start going in every 2 weeks instead of every month and soon I will be going in every week.. crazy crazy stuff. I'm excited because it means we are just that close to b's arrival!

Sunday we leave for Clearlake with Jason's family for a week. So I will not be blogging next Monday or Friday. I will do my best to blog this Friday but I can't promise anything so I guess you will just have to check :) After we get back from Clearlake we are going to be moving my office to home and hopefully get a network set up so I can remote into the office. Even though its been pretty relaxed with me coming in and leaving, it will be nice to not have to worry about it as much and be able to really start reading my books and exercising. I have sooo much to read still but I should be able to finish it all before b comes.

That's it for now.. Have a great week everyone!
