29 weeks :)

The weeks are just paaaaassssin by.

Our little princess is now 29 weeks and here is her update

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. To meet her increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because her bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

We have one of our last Bradley classes tonight. I'm not sure what we will be going over but I will let you know on Friday :)

This weekend was great. Jason left early Saturday morning with the guys for their rafting trip.
Danielle and I met my friend Janet in Old Roseville at the Boxing Donkey for breakfast. If you haven't been there, GO! Janet had said she heard they had amazing french toast and seriously, IT WAS! It's called Captain Mulligan French Toast, we thought it was captain crunch but either way, SO good. Not your typical french toast at all. We will be going back for sure. I had never been there but its a pretty cool place, I was surprised they didn't have more customers for breakfast. We got there at 10:30 so maybe that's why. Anyway, that's my recommendation for breakfast if you are ever in Old Roseville, check it out! http://theboxingdonkey.com/

After we finished Breakfast we were walking back to our car and there was a Maternity Boutique right by it! I've been looking for a white summer dress and didn't really find any and they had one in the window. I was so excited, it was so cute, I just had to get it. It was meant to beeeee!
I didn't think to take a picture of it but you will probably see me in it soon :)

Janet was up for painting with me and Danielle, so we headed to Michael's for some supplies. We went back to my house and got all set up to paint!

I did my version of Danielle's shadow picture.. I call her Long fellow..

Lovely Janet working on her first painting ever! We are very proud of her, it came out beautiful.

I also painted Lanterns.. which I don't love but it was something different.

We painted until about 7 and then Janet had dinner plans. Danielle and I went swimming and oh my god was it still crazy hot out. I'm so happy we have a pool because this weather is just too crazy right now.

Sunday was very relaxed, we just sat out in the pool until the boys got back which was around 4. Here is a picture of Kris, Matt, Coco and Jason from the trip. They had a total of about 24 people on the trip. Too bad they didn't get a group photo

Oh well.. Next weekend is the fourth of July! We are going to Donner Lake with friends and it should be awesome. Next weekend we have our family trip to clearlake with Jason's family. I'M SO EXCITED! I can't wait to just relax ALL week.
busy busy.. more pictures to come.

Have a great week Everyone :)

Its been a great week!

Photobucket

This has been a great week. We had the carpets cleaned on Monday, Cleaners came on Wednesday, We had sushi with my good friend Susie on Wednesday for her birthday, Jason put the baby furniture in the baby's room Wednesday night and today... I found out I passed my D.R.E. test!! I'm beyond excited. I studied so hard and when I took the test last Thursday I really didn't feel confident and wasn't sure what the outcome would be because it seemed like all my questions were not in any of my study material. Apparently I did better then I thought and I PASSED!! I PASSED YAAAAAY. I'm so excited I don't have to take it again because I seriously thought I was going to have to. What a great way to start the weekend.
I feel like dancin'!

Jason is leaving for is annual cache creek rafting trip with the boys. I will be with my sister and my good friend Janet while he is gone. This trip really is the only time we are apart so it's a little weird for us. He has such a good time with just the guys, which makes me happy. I went a couple years ago on a boy-girl trip we organized and although it was fun, its definitely better just a boys trip. When I went he had to worry about my happiness of course which makes it less carefree for him. Last time I went I got dumped out of the raft.. we will just say I wasn't a happy camper after that lol Maybe one day we will do it again but for now, the one boys trip will be it and I'm happy with that. They leave Saturday morning and get back Sunday so at least its not too long of a trip.

So I know I said I would put picture up of the baby's room after he put the furniture up buuut.. I forgot my camera today... I'M SORRY :( I will try to get on tomorrow and update this one with the pictures. ITS SO CUTE! I absolutely love it. Now we have to go buy the bedding and mattress <3 So much fun! yay yay yay..

So sorry for no pictures in this one... I promise to add some tomorrow :)

Here are the pics!

I'm still figuring out how I want the room set up and trying to get it all in one pic is hard but here it is anyways..

LOVE YOU ALL AND HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!

Fathers day wknd & b-28 weeks

Happy Monday to everyone

This weekend was filled with adventures. Jason's poker party ended up having about 30people in our garage and went until about 5:30am!! I think it went a little longer then he expected but he had a great time.

Danielle and I painted while the guys were having their fun.. I painted b's butterflies and worked on another painting I had a started a week or so ago.

They look sooo much better now they are painted!
Photobucket

This one is pretty busy... it's not for b's room, its just kept me busy lol
Photobucket

Saturday we ran errands and I picked some more painting stuff at michaels because danielle and I were going to paint Sunday night while jason cleared out the upstairs for the carpet cleaner (YAY). Look what I found while we were there.. we didnt buy it but we thought it would be a funny picture.

Photobucket

Our friends were playing in old Roseville Saturday night and went to watch them. It was fun but we couldnt stay too long. It's a little too loud for b and all the standing is uncomfortable for me. It was fun to see everyone though, although I really can say I don't miss going to the bars lol.. life is so funny.

Sunday- FATHERS DAY!!! We met my dad for Brunch at Awful Annie's in Lincoln. It was SOO good. It was a great meeting point for us being right in the middle of Sacramento and Yuba City. I heard it was a great breakfast place and it didn't disappoint. We will have to make our way back there soon.

The place was so cute inside, it was set up as if it were outside and old farm house.
Photobucket
I didnt get a picture of my favorite part but they had a clothes line with some old fashioned clothes hanging from it near the ceiling. It was just a really cute set up and the people were SO nice. I couldn't believe how sweet everyone was. Makes me want to move to lincoln LOL.

Here is my dad, the best dad EVER!!! :)

I just had to have an updated picture of me and gabi the youngest sister. I cant Believe she is going to be 17 this year... just soo crazy how fast she grew up.
Love you gabs :)

After brunch with my dad, we went to Jason's sisters house to go swimming and celebrate with his family.

After all the fun, we went home and Danielle and I painted!!

I didnt get any pictures of hers but here is one that I finished and one is under construction still and won't be shown.

Photobucket

I dont know what I'm going to do with all these if I keep painting for fun. lol

Here are on Monday and b is now 28 weeks!!

By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

We have a Bradley class tonight, I think we only have another 2 left after this. It seemed to go by so fast. I've really enjoyed them though and learned A Lot. it's going to be weird not going to them after they are done.

I get my RH shot tomorrow... aaaaahhh Hopefully it wont be too bad. I believe a nurse practioner gives it to me so at least I dont have to go to the lab.

Since we had the carpets cleaned today, Jason is going to try and get the furniture set up in b's room this week since he will be out of town on the boys rafting trip this weekend. I cant wait to see it all in there, too exciting :)

I have to get going.. time to work lol... Have a great week and I will be back on Friday with pictures of b's rooooooom!! :) yaaaay

Summer?

Photobucket
Happy Friday everyone!!

I just have to say we have been having the WEIRDEST weather. It's mid June and we have been having 70s for the most part and then out of no where yesterday was 90. I saw on the forecast it was supposed to go back to 70s next week but who knows. I just seems like the weather patterns are moving farther back. I remember when September was chilly and now its hot almost the entire month.. strange stuff..enough about weather :)

I have a picture this week of my belly! I actually took it on Wednesday to show Danielle how crazy it looks but I realized I haven't taken one since the very first one a long time ago and will share it with everyone. I just feel funny standing there and having someone take a picture of my belly so Ive been a little shy about it. We are all friends and family riiight? I don't know why but I feel weird about it, it looks so much larger in the picture then I feel it is looking down at it LOL oh well..

BARE BELLY AAHHH
Photobucket

I took this one this morning because I wanted to see the difference with a shirt on.. still weird hahaha I guess with b being 2 lbs and 14 inches she has to go somewhere lol
Photobucket

I still have a little less then 3 months but luckily I have NOOOO stretch marks yet (knocks on wood) My mom told me early on to get actual Vitamin E oil and rub it in every night to keep it from happening and so far so good! Its weird to think that I'm already a little over 6 months already.. weird stuff..

I'm looking into maternity pictures now to have them professionally done. I figured I should look now and get it booked for the month I want. I will say, there will be nooo nakey maternity pictures hahahaha that just creeps me out and what child would want to see that when they get older...I can hear her now.. " mooooooooom, you're naked?! EEEEEWWWWWW" so only tasteful normal pictures for me. Wish me luck :)

Jason has a poker game at our house tonight so this should be interesting. There will be about 20 or so guys and if it's hot they are having it inside the house instead of the garage. Danielle and I are going to PAINT while they play YAAAAY oviously I'm very excited about that. :)

I need to get back to work but hopefully everyone has a great weekend!!
toodles :)

Week 27

Good Afternoon everyone!

Yesterday was a very busy day for me and I was not able to get to the blog. I barely have enough time today so it might be a little short but I wanted to give b's weekly update :)

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother her, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

Cauliflower b (that's one big piece of cauliflower lol)

This weekend Jason and his dad put up b's border!! It's PERFECT!
Photobucket

Here is a closer look at it
Photobucket

We were at target and they had these wall decorations for 50% off!! They are going to fit in perfect
Photobucket

I'm going paint these using the color in the border :) The metal just isn't right for b :p
Photobucket

Jason called the carpet cleaner and he will be out next week so maybe by next weekend we will have b's room set up. I'm sooo excited!

We had our Bradley class last night. They went over C-sections.. WOW, I can't imagine anyone actually WANTING one, seems so crazy to me how many people opt for them. We watched a video and eewwwww is all I can say hahaha plus the long recovery doesn't seem worth it either but if its necessary I guess you don't have a choice. I made the snack last night, Vitamin C was the category but I wanted to do something different then just citrus and found that red bell peppers and strawberries also have Vitamin C. I made Roasted red bell pepper, chicken and provolone sandwich's and strawberry and orange glazed muffins. They were super good and everyone loved them. I've had a fun time finding new things to make but glad I don't have to worry about feeding 9 people anymore hahahhaha.

b was super active last night making each time I had to pee that much more difficult to go back to sleep. Only 3 more months and more kicking to go lol, all for a good cause :)

I've really got to get back to work, have a great week everyone!!

Class and Appt.

Photobucket

Happy Friday everyone!

I will say I'm a bit fried from massive studying and decided to take a break to update the blog.
Photobucket

Our Bradley class this week went well, I had to bring the snack this week and my category was whole grains. My pumpkin bread, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and grilled cheese and tomato sandwich's were a hit! Luckily I made enough cookies to leave some at the house. I had my glucose test the next morning so I wasn't able to have any that night :( I also have to make next weeks snack, category is Vitamin C. I plan on making grilled chicken and red bell pepper sandwich's and either orange glazed strawberry cupcakes or a strawberry parfait. I haven't decided yet. I'm going to do a couple test runs this weekend to see what turns out better.

Our class was about birthing plans, to know that things wont always go as planned but you can try to be as prepared as possible. Also to ensure the doctors and nurses are aware of what you want during birth and what options are available if things have to stray from the plan.

Before my appointment on Tuesday I had to go to the lab and drink the stuff for the glucose test and it really was NOT as bad as I thought it was going to be. It kind of tasted like Sprite. I drank it easily and then went to my appointment.
The appointment went great. I was able to ask her a lot of questions that I had from reading and taking the classes. She was very nice and answered every one with ease and made me feel really good. I measured right on with how far long I am 26cm/26 wks. We got to hear her heartbeat again, which was a great 154. I just looove hearing the heartbeat! After the appointment I had to go back to lab for them to draw my blood for the glucose test. The lady took FOREVER, I thought she was trying to suck me dry. Of course she also had to chime in with her opinion on child birth. You can imagine what she said "oh go for the epidural, I would have a million kids all day with that" Seriously lady, DID I ASK? NO? take my blood and leave your birthing opinions to yourself. I just hate the automatic advise people give. If I wanted to know what you thought I would of asked you, but I didn't. People need to start minding their own business and keep their opinions to them self. I just sat there looking at Jason and he knew I was frustrated but really, what could I say, she had a needle in my arm sucking my blood out. I sat there quiet until she was done and left. I go back in 2 weeks for my Rh shot, not looking forward to that!

Other then that I have been studying like crazy for my Real Estate License. I always freak out that I am going to forget everything when I take the test lol. I'm hammering in as much as possible and hopefully I pass. I will be studying every day until I take the test and probably study on the way there hahahahaa. I'm such a worry wart. I hate taking tests!!

This week has been pretty chill. B is kicking and moving like crazy EVERYDAY. I remember when I couldn't feel her at all and its rarely like that anymore. I do love feeling her move around because it makes it that much more real but sometimes she kicks REALLY hard hahahaha and I actually see my stomach move, she rolls around and I can feel it. I bet she is not liking being so squished. Only a couple more months though and then she is freeeeeeeee.

Jason hasn't gotten around to calling the carpet cleaner (grrr). Work has been crazy busy but hopefully he can get to it later today. I want that furniture in! He decided he wants the bathroom painted as well which shouldn't be too much though. We will see. Jason's sister dropped off some really cute duck decorations they had and I put them in the bathroom, its just soo cute.

I think Jason is going to put the border up in her room this weekend. I want to try and move the weight bench from the loft into one of the spare bedrooms to get the loft ready for my desk and make the spare room a work out room. I am determined to get back to my normal weight after she comes. Just a couple more weeks and I should be out of the office, although I know I will be working from home. At least it will be less stressful then being in here everyday. I need to relax and prepare for b. I read that women who took a month off before the birth were more relaxed then those that worked right up until birth. Which makes sense, working is stressful and of course pours into your home life.
Peaceful b, peaceful b that's all I want

oohhhhmmmmm
Photobucket

Wow this got to be a lot longer then I expected! Have a great weekend :)

26 weeks

A lot went on this weekend so I will start this off with b's progress since she really is the star of the show.

Our little princess is now 26 weeks! Next thing we know, its going to be 40 weeks(ish) in noo time. It really seems like yesterday I was announcing to everyone that we were expecting.

26 weeks
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. And she's continuing to put on baby fat. She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.

english hothouse cucumber b.. (this one is weird, they couldn’t of found a better vegetable?!)

On Saturday we had dinner with my family. It was amazing that everyone actually came! We had 16 people come, which made for a really large dinner table lol

Here is a group pic, soo many people lol
Photobucket

Here is one of my brothers and sisters (and my camera loving nephew lol)
Photobucket

It was a lot of fun and so nice to see everyone. It's so hard to get us all together, and even though my mom couldn’t make it, she did make a phone call to say hello.

Jon and Alex had a nice surprise for us as we were leaving, they gave us a gift for b!
Photobucket
Its so cute, it has little keys and plush coins. I'm sure she will love it.

Before dinner we had gone to Lowe's to pick up paint for b's room so Jason could start painting after we got back.

He started on the stripes so they had time to dry before his sister and dad came the next day.

Photobucket

so excited to start on her room!
Photobucket

I sat by the window to keep him company (hey where did my neck go?!)

As planned, Jason's sister and Dad came over to help paint in the morning and they did an AMAZING job. Its soooo cute, I absolutely love it.

The colors turned out perfect!! Its a little hard to tell in the pictures, maybe we will have a "b's room completion party" when its done so everyone can see it hahahaa

We bought Vinyl lettering to put on the curved hallway that goes into b's room.
If you cant read it, it says "all because two people fell in love"
I just looove it and can't wait to put it up, just seemed like it fit perfect :)
Photobucket

We went to Babies R Us to see if they had the border in and THEY DID!! YAAAAY!
Photobucket
We will probably put it up this week if possible or this weekend.

I told Jason to call the carpet cleaner (he wants the floors cleaned before putting in the furniture) because I want that furniture in the bedroom and out of the garage!! The boxes are soo sad, they are just begging to be put together :)

Danielle and I painted later in the afternoon which was a lot of fun as usual. It was a gorgeous day and decided to paint outside.

Photobucket

She did not want me to take a picture of her hahha she is saying "you cant get my hand and that’s it" LOL
Photobucket

I love her paintings, she gave me the orange one which will go great in our bedroom!

Photobucket

This one she has been working on for 2 years lol.. its been many many things.
Photobucket

I think she called this "the Chinese house"

Photobucket

I didn't finish mine so no picture yet :)

We have our bradley class tonight and our doctors appointment is tomorrow. I'm taking the glucose test, an I think getting my first rh shot :( I will let you know how it goes on friday :)
