Here is b's progress..
Your baby's sensory development is exploding! The brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that it may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.
Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of the body now. Kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on the scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on the skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

ACTUAL B!! Hand was in her mouth lol

hahahaha okay so I know I was supposed to blog yesterday and this is why I didn't.
We had out appointment at 10:15 am yesterday. Jason and I were soooooo excited, got there and b was not in the correct position. :( They couldn't get enough pictures of the spinal cord and couldn't tell us what b was. I was pretty upset because I was so excited to find out and it was a possibility that we wouldn't. They asked us to come back at 5 hoping b will have moved and they can get better pictures. I was a little upset, I felt emotionally drained, what if b was still in the wrong position when we went back? Jason and I had lunch and I wasn't in the mood to go back to work so I went home to take a nap. The nap was great, I felt so much better and it of course made the wait that much easier, Jason picked me up right before the appointment and we went back to see if b moved.
LUCKILY, b moved yaaaaaaaay. b was in perfect position for what they needed and to tell us the gender.. are you ready? are you ready?ITS A GIRL!!
I'm soooo excited! As much as a boy would have been nice, I just cant help but love all the little girl stuff and I can't express how excited we are. Jason's been amazing with everything and is so excited for our little girl. Last night we were talking about taking her to Disneyland and getting her all dressed up as a princess!! oooooohhh we cant wait hahahaha So So excited.
I have more U/S pictures to share of HER :)
this is from the first appt. Her head is on the left side, and that's her arm

here are some from the 2nd appt. head is on the right side, arms by her side

arm is by her head (her thinking pose)

here she is with her hand in her mouth lol

It was so amazing, we got to see her kick, see her hands move from her side to into her mouth. It was sooo amazing, very surreal.
I had my hair cut this weekend, to my short summer do. Its so much easier! At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to go this short again but I'm so glad I did!! It might not seem like a big change but it really is, no more hair on my neck wooo hoo. I think she cut about 4-5 inches off.
