Princess sonrisa at 20 wks

Okay so there is no confusion b's name is not sonrisa hahahaaha Danielle calls b many things and she started with Sonrisa (meaning smile in spanish for those that don't know) and I feel smiley today making b smiley, so todays title had to have it :)

I'm half way yaaaaay 20 weeks here is our little girls update..

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

She's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for her digestive system. She's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in her bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Okay that last part... pretty gross hahahahah the things they tell you!! My princess doesn't do any of that, I don't care what they say hahahahaa

I have lots and lots of pictures today yaaaaaaaaaay!! We will start with b's length..

Banana b is 10 inches long, thats sooo crazy!!

This weekend went by really fast but was a lot of fun. Saturday we went to the mall and bought some more maternity clothes. YAY!! I got a couple new dresses, shirts, capri's and a new swim suit. The swim suit is soo cute, its a one piece swim dress. Here is a pic of it, I had to print it and scan it in so its kind of faded I also folded it in half on accident so even though it looks like 2 pieces, it isnt lol
Photobucket

These are the polka dots, its kinda hard to see in the picture above.
Photobucket

I'm a little too conservative to wear a two piece while pregnant so it had to be a one piece lol. I'm really excited about it, I tried wearing one of my old two pieces a couple weeks ago when it was just Jason and I at the house... not a good idea hahaha it wasn't cute in the least and so uncomfortable! SO YAY for my new swimsuit!

After shopping we went to our favorite sushi place, tokyo fro's. Man it was awesome! I love love their rolls and I dont feel like crap after I'm done. Thats always nice lol

We went to Babies R Us in folsom and looked at the different crib sets again and found the one we want. They had a brochure so I scanned it in.

Photobucket

It converts to a full size bed which is nice. That way when we have another baby and it takes this bed from b, we will only need to buy a new bedroom set for her and when the new baby gets older it can have that set as a full size! How great is that?!

The set also has a really cute matching bookshelf that they had in the store but didn't show on the brochure that we are also going to get with the set. We can get all three pieces on the brochure and the bookself for about $1700 BUT I found a 20% off baby furniture purchase coupon online which gives us $340 off making it only $1360! We are soooo excited. Who doesnt LOVE discounts!

The bedding on the brochure is actually the exact bedding set we want also. Its soooo cute. Here are the pictures I took of it. I dont like the sheet though so I would just do a solid light purple instead of the crazy flowers they have on it.

The store also had matching tables and toy box!! soo cute

Look at this little carrier, the little flowers are too adorable. I forgot to take a picture of the stroller.
Photobucket

It also had a matching pack and play set.
Photobucket

Jason wants to go more neutral with the stroller and play pen in case we have a boy the next time so we might go with this one.

Photobucket
Its cute, it has little animals on it same with the stroller so we will see. I just love the little girlie ones though hahaha

I'm not sure what these are called, baby holders? lol but look how cute?!
Photobucket
she would totally be a princess in this one hahahaha
Photobucket

okaay well thats it for the baby pictures. You can tell I had a good time in babies r us lol.

I was pretty tired after all that and we went home and got in the spa. Man my legs were tired! Don't worry Jason kept the temp at 95-98 to make sure it didnt go over my body temperture and keep b safe. It was nice to end the day that way, and of course I got to wear my new swim suit YAY :)

We spent sunday with Jason's family celebrating his niece's 4th birthday. It was really cute, we are really looking forward to having parties for b!
Look! I actually got a picture of us! hahaha YAY!

Well that's it for today, it's monday so lets hope for a fast week!!

19 weeks and the verdict..

I know you are all dying to know what b is buuut you will have to wait until the end haahahahaaha

Here is b's progress..

Your baby's sensory development is exploding! The brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that it may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of the body now. Kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on the scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on the skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

ACTUAL B!! Hand was in her mouth lol

hahahaha okay so I know I was supposed to blog yesterday and this is why I didn't.

We had out appointment at 10:15 am yesterday. Jason and I were soooooo excited, got there and b was not in the correct position. :( They couldn't get enough pictures of the spinal cord and couldn't tell us what b was. I was pretty upset because I was so excited to find out and it was a possibility that we wouldn't. They asked us to come back at 5 hoping b will have moved and they can get better pictures. I was a little upset, I felt emotionally drained, what if b was still in the wrong position when we went back? Jason and I had lunch and I wasn't in the mood to go back to work so I went home to take a nap. The nap was great, I felt so much better and it of course made the wait that much easier, Jason picked me up right before the appointment and we went back to see if b moved.

LUCKILY, b moved yaaaaaaaay. b was in perfect position for what they needed and to tell us the gender.. are you ready? are you ready?ITS A GIRL!!

I'm soooo excited! As much as a boy would have been nice, I just cant help but love all the little girl stuff and I can't express how excited we are. Jason's been amazing with everything and is so excited for our little girl. Last night we were talking about taking her to Disneyland and getting her all dressed up as a princess!! oooooohhh we cant wait hahahaha So So excited.

I have more U/S pictures to share of HER :)

this is from the first appt. Her head is on the left side, and that's her arm
Photobucket

here are some from the 2nd appt. head is on the right side, arms by her side
Photobucket

arm is by her head (her thinking pose)
Photobucket

here she is with her hand in her mouth lol
Photobucket

It was so amazing, we got to see her kick, see her hands move from her side to into her mouth. It was sooo amazing, very surreal.

I had my hair cut this weekend, to my short summer do. Its so much easier! At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to go this short again but I'm so glad I did!! It might not seem like a big change but it really is, no more hair on my neck wooo hoo. I think she cut about 4-5 inches off.

here is a pic of me... this is from today haahah My desk is a mess and you can see what I'm working on LOL THIS!
Photobucket
Here is the back.. taking a picture of the back of your head, IS REALLY HARD!!
Photobucket

this picture is for Danielle... HAHAHAHAHAAHa LOOOOOK WHAT IIIII GOT!
Photobucket

okay anyways... Thats it for now. I dont know if I will be blogging on friday, I guess you will have to wait and seeee :)

Relaxation time!

Photobucket
This is friday Joe, he is here to make alll your weekly troubles go away..loook into his eeeyes LOL

Its Friday again and all we can think about is how close we are to finding out what b is!! Tuesday is sooo close and its hard to think about anything else since that will really let us to move forward on what we want to do for b's room, start thinking about a name and such.

I won't be blogging on Monday since I have the ultrasound on Tuesday. I would rather blog on Tuesday after I find out and be able to share the wonderful new with everyone.

Matt is all moved out and b's room is empty, ready for the change! It has been soooo nice not worrying about anyone coming over. I can walk around the house in my undies without having to worry about anyone walking in LOL. I know you know what I'm talking about, such a fabulous feeling.

This weekend is going to be all relaxation time, its going to be beautiful and the solar on the pool should be warm enough to get in and soak up some sun! It will be the first time I'm in a swimsuit since being pregnant so that will be interesting.

My friend Jen is holding an estate sale at her house on Saturday, I will probably go and give her some company and people watch If I can get up on time lol.
If you want to check it out here is what she listed about it...

Week 18

This weekend was a lot of fun. Saturday we spent time with Jason's family doing the Easter thing, watching the kids look for eggs was great. They are just too cute.
Photobucket

Jason took a lovely picture of me (not paying attention of course lol) but it shows how pregnant I look aaahhhh hahaha so I thought I would share :)
Photobucket

Jason's family got us a really cute basket with some helpful items for b including b's first baby einstein!!
Photobucket
and Jason's parents got us a pretty azalea plant. I'm going to plant it but I havent decided if I want it in the front yard or backyard.. hmmm
Photobucket

Jason's sister is redoing their little girls room and let us have the duck picture they had. its soo cute, I'm going to make b's bathroom in little duckies lol I cant wait to start on it! Isn't it sooo cute?! Matt told us Saturday that his place will be ready and moving out in a day or so!! Im so excited to start planning b's room and bathroom!!
Photobucket

Yesterday was kick back, we ran some errands in the afternoon and had Jasons parents over for dinner. We had hamburgers (that were sooo good) and played some cards :) It was a really nice evening.

We have only 8 more days until we have the big ultrasound and find out what b is!!!
OMG its so crazy, I'm so excited.. just counting down the daaays.

Here is what b is up to today...

Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound. (If its a he, HE BETTER NOT HIDE IT!LOL)

b is a bell pepper!!

More and more I am starting to feel b moving around, its kinda crazy because its obvious and really WEIRD. I'm glad b is active but at the same time I know its not going to stop until b is out!! AAAHHHHHHHHHH Oh well YAY for a happy and healthy b!!

Hopefully this week flys by and then we will know! Happy Monday everyone!!

rain rain go away!

Well we had a nice beginning of the week and then it turned into dark gloominess. I'm not super surprised since it is April buuuut I still miss the sun. I've become obsessed with it obviously since all I want to do is be outside, of course hating the cold doesn't help either :)

This week went by pretty fast. b is doing fabulous, my belly is continuing to grow. I got to a point this week where I could no longer do the rubber band and button trick to keep wearing my jeans. I was fed up with messing with it and let Jason know, IT WAS TIME! Maternity pants HERE I AM!! They actually are really comfortable and don't look that different from regular pants except for no buttons and the stretchy waistline but I LOVE IT! I don't know if I'm going to stop wearing them even after the pregnancy hahahahha The stretchy part sits right at my hips under my belly all nice and comfy...nooo buttons...I could get use to that LOL

You know, its funny how life changes and the things you enjoy are so different from what your life once was. Being pregnant has really had me thinking a lot lately. Last night, Jason and I ran some errands, went home relaxed, watched some TV and just spent time with each other. Even though its pretty typical of what we do since I've been pregnant and not feeling up to doing too much, I really really enjoy it. We were sitting there last night, joking around and just making each other laugh and I had so much fun. I love that he makes me laugh so much and we always have the best time with each other, he really is my best friend. I feel so lucky to have that, knowing there is not one other place I would rather be then with him. We made sure we were both finished with partying before starting our family and I'm so glad we did. I don't feel one bit that we haven't done anything we still need to do that can't be done with a child. I just got to a point where clubs and the trampy people where just sooooo annoying. I love to just sit in a nice lounge, relax listening to some great music with good friends. We had some really great years with our friends partying and now I feel like I am at an age where none of thats important.. I did it, I'm over it and I can't express who content I feel to be able to start my family. You grow older, priorities change, life is funny isn't it?

ookay enough serious stuff.. look how cute!

Photobucket

Easter is this weekend, we will be spending it with Jason's family at his sisters house which is always a good time. Not much else going on just going to be relaxing since thats all I can really do :) We want a HAPPY b!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

week 17

Here we are another Monday. Last week went by pretty quickly and I'm hoping this week does the same. I really cant wait till we have the ultrasound. I'm so anxious to find out what b is! I am now at 17 weeks and here is what my little update tells me.

Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.

A couple things I've read said I could start feeling b moving around just slightly and I'm pretty sure I felt b today. It was quite different then what most tummy stuff feels like and it was just for a couple seconds but I'm almost positive. It was pretty exciting. I have my bradley classes aalll set up. I sent my deposit into the instructor and we are scheduled to start May 4th!

This weekend was fun. We looked at a lot of apartments for danielle. She is thinking about moving but we havent found anything just yet. The search continues!!
We spent some time in the backyard, playing cards which was great. It was so nice not to be inside or doing anything. It was awesome being able to just relax.

Here are my new flowers I planted last week. I love them as the new addition to our backyard and looking forward to when they grow thicker. I'm going to show off how well our plants are doing in the back, everything is flowering its so pretty!! Its so relaxing to just hang out back. We have the solar on for the pool so hopefully it stays nice and makes the pool around 80 so we can go swimming this weekend! God I love weekends!

Here are my newest additions..
Freesia & the little purple flowers are ground cover. I"m hoping to have all the rock covered one day by this cute little plant!
Photobucket
here is a better look at my purple ground cover (i forgot the name lol) its soo cute!

My potato vine on the side of the yard is doing great, This is what I see out my kitchen window. Its grown so much since last year.

Our palms are growing nicely

b's heartbeat!

Jason and I just got back from our dr appointment today. Everything looks good, blood pressure is normal and my weight is on track. I met with Dr. Graham this time, he was a little odd but very nice. I had Jason record b's heartbeat this time so I could share it with everyone and of course listen to it over and over again lol.
here it is!! You can hear it a couple seconds in.

He said that it was about 160 which is perfect YAY! Apparently they don't do the 20wk ultrasound there so we werent able to ask about doing it today. They gave us the slip to call and schedule an appointment at the places that do them. I called and made the appointment, we are scheduled for April 21st. I am sooooo excited, hopefully b is ready to let us know if its a boy or a girl!

Photobucket

Other then that wonderfulness not much is new, just patiently waiting for b to grow. Oh I did plant some new flowers in the backyard.. I forgot to take pictures so I will over the weekend. They are so preeettty. I hope everyone has a great weekend. Love you aaaaaallll!
